Lights, Action, Lily!, Nancy Rue, 122 pages, March 4, 2011

I just finished reading Lights, Action, Lily! by Nancy Rue.  I finished it on March 4, 2011 and it had 122 pages in it.  It's about a girl named Lily who is offered to perform in a Shakespeare play.  But Lily's worst enemy Shad Shifferdecker was offered, too, and they both said yes.  Now Shad's girlfriend Ashley Adamson is out to get Lily.  And the only way Lily can stop it is praying for them.  But it's getting really hard.  Will Lily be able to follow God's Word instead of getting pounded by Ashley?
I liked this book because it was funny in a dramatic way.  For example, when Ashley was yelling at Shad, she started stomping her foot like a little kid.  It was really funny.
I would recommend this book for girls 9+.

Lily the Rebel, Nancy Rue, 124 pages, March 1, 2011

I just finished reading Lily the Rebel by Nancy Rue.  It has 124 pages in it and I finished it on March 1, 2011.  It's about a girl named Lily who decides that she wants to be an advocate for her friends.  She develops and attitude and wears crazy T-Shirts.  But Lily is starting to make her teachers turn away from her...and her friends.
I liked this book because it was exciting.  For example, when Lily's friends didn't eat lunch with her, it wasn't that big of a deal.  But then Reni, Lily's best friend, yells at her and says she doesn't want to hang out with her until she starts acting nice.  Then it gets exciting!
I would recommend this book to girls 9-12.

School's Out Forever, James Patterson, 409 pages, February 22, 2011

I just finished reading School's Out Forever by James Patterson.  It has 409 pages in it and I finished it on February 22, 2011.  It's about Max, Fang, Iggy, Nudge, the Gasman, and Angel who are trying to escape from Erasers and the whitecoats.  They live with Anne for a while but then find themselves on the run again.  Will the flock ever outrun the School?
I liked this book because it was super action-packed.  For example, in the end when Max finds out she has an imposter, she chokes and comes really close to killing her.
I would recommend this book to pre-teens and teenagers.

The Mysterious Benedict Society and the Periolous Journey, Trenton Lee Stewart, 440 pages, February 22, 2011

I just finished reading the Mysterious Benedict Society and the Perilous Journey by Trenton Lee Stewart.  It has 440 pages in it and I finished it on February 22, 2011.  It's about four kids named Reynie, Sticky, Kate, and Constance who have to go on a huge adventure to rescue Mr. Benedict and his assistant, Number Two.  But the Ten Men (the bad guys) are trying desperately to stop them.  The Mysterious Benedict Society has to get to Mr. Benedict or else...
I liked this book because it always left you guessing.  For example, when Reynie thought of an idea to escape from the Ten Men, the book just kept talking about how this escape plan may cause them to risk their lives.
I would recommend this book to kids 10+.

Ask Lily, Nancy Rue, 139 pages, February 20, 2011

I just finished reading Ask Lily by Nancy Rue.  I finished it on February 20, 2011 and it has 139 pages in it.  It's about a girl named Lily who starts an advice column called Answer Girl in the school newspaper.  But the editor happens to be Lily's arch nemesis's brother, Lance Adamson.  Now Lance's sister, Ashley, wants to start hanging out with Lily.  Now Lily has to decide between her friends or Answer Girl
I liked this book because it talks a lot about God.  For example, Lily makes up these secret notes called Lily-Grams, but later she renames them God-Grams because he helped the Girlz (Lily's club) through their struggles.
I would recommend this book to girls 9-12.

Lily's Ultimate Party, Nancy Rue, 121 pages, February 15, 2011

I just finished reading Lily's Ultimate Party by Nancy Rue.  I t has 121 pages and I finished it on February 15, 2011.  It's about a girl named Lily who wants to throw a summer party.  She makes lots of arrangements and even gets a summer job to afford the party.  But then Lily's grandmother, Mudda, comes to visit.  Will Lily's party be a success or a total mess?
I liked this book because it was suspenseful sometimes.  For example, when Lily's dog, Otto, led Lily downstairs it made you wonder what was going on.
I would recommend this book to girls 9-13.

War of the Wardrobes, Megan Stine, 86 pages, February 2011

I just finished reading War of the Wardrobes by Megan Stine.  It had 86 pages and I finished it in February of 2011.  It's about two twins named Mary Kate and Ashley who attend a boarding school.  But the school wants everyone to wear uniforms!  Now it's up to Mary Kate and Ashley to stop the idea of wearing uniforms.
I liked this book because it was about fashion!  For example, Mary Kate and Ashley went shopping a lot to find clothes that would be appropriate for a dress code.
I would recommend this book to girls 8-12.
