Unlocked, Karen Kingsbury, 314 pages, May 17, 2011

I just finished reading 314 pages out of the book Unlocked by Karen Kingsbury on May 17, 2011.  It's about a boy named Holden Harris who was diagnosed with autism when he was three.  He used to be best friends with Ella Reynolds.  But Ella's mom decided that she didn't want Holden around Ella, so Mrs. Reynolds and Mrs. Harris's friendship separated.  Now, Ella and Holden are going to high school together.  And Ella seems to be the only one to bring Holden out of his autistic trance.  Her...and music.
My favorite character in this book was Holden.  I liked him because he is really adorable.  For example, when Holden prays he never says Amen.  He says "Your friend, Holden Harris."
I would recommend this book to teenagers and adults.

Call Me Mrs. Miracle, Debbie Macomber, 253 pages, May 17, 2011

I just finished reading 253 pages out of the book Call Me Mrs. Miracle by Debbie Macomber on May 17, 2011.  It's about a woman named Emily Merkle (a.k.a. Miracle) who has a secret about her.  She seems to know everything about everyone and she seems to know how to hook Holly Larson and Jake Finley up.  Holly is taking care of her nephew while her brother is in Afghanistan.  Jake, the son of a very fanous buisnessman, is trying to sell five hundred toys he bought for the Christmas season.  Holly needs to buy this exact toy for her nephew for Christmas.  Holly and Jake up meeting and fall in love.  All because of Emily Miracle.
My favorite character in this book was Emily Miracle.  I liked her because she was nice.  For example, Mrs. Miracle babysat Holly's nephew and was talking to him and reading to him and being really nice.
I would recommend this book to people who love romance books.

Prom, Ellie O'Ryan, 234 pages, May 10, 2011

I just finished reading 234 pages out of the book Prom by Ellie O'Ryan on May 10, 2011.  It's about a girl named Nova who is the head of the Prom Commitee.  She has just finished the decorations, when the shed her decorations were stored in caught on fire.  Principal Dunnan assigned Jesse Richter to help repair the damage.  Both Jesse and Nova don't want to work together.  But as the two teenagers spend more time together, they realize how opposites attract.
My favorite character in this book was Jesse.  I liked him because he was awesome!  For example, he has muscles, he rides a motorcycle...what more could you ask for?
I would recommend this book to teenage girls.

Closed for the Season, Mary Downing Hahn, 182 pages, May 8, 2011

I just finished reading 182 pages out of the book Closed for the Season by Mary Downing Hahn on May 8, 2011.  It's about a boy named Logan who moves into a house.  His neighbor Arthur tells Logan that a murder was committed in the house.  Now Logan and Arthur are trying to find the killer and figure out where the stolen money from the amusement park is.  But they need to find their clues in the amusement park The Magic Forest.  And the killer is waiting for them there.
My favorite character in this book was Arthur.  I liked him because he was funny.  For example, Arthur would always come into Logan's house during breakfast and stick his hand into the Raisin Bran box and eat the cereal.
I would recommend this book to kids who like mysteries.

Lily's Passport to Paris, Nancy Rue, 153 pages, May 5, 2011

I just finished reading 153 pages out of the book Lily's Passport to Paris by Nancy Rue on May 5, 2011.  It's about a girl named Lily who takes a month long vacation to Paris.  At first Lily is miserable.  Then she meets Christophe, a French boy who befriends her and shows her the sights of Paris.  But there is one thing in the way of Lily and Christophe's friendship: Christophe's sister Odette.  Now Odette is taking Christophe away.  Will Lily be able to keep Christophe in Paris and show him and his sister the path to God?
My favorite character in this book is Christophe.  I liked him because he's sweet.  For example, Christophe would always offer to show Lily the sites and would call her Li-lee.
I would recommend this book to girls 9-13.

The Last Olympian, Rick Riordan, 381 pages, May 2, 2011

I just finished reading 381 pages out of the book The Last Olympian by Rick Riordan on May 2, 2011.  It's about a boy named Percy who is in battle to save the Olympian gods against the Titan lords.  Kronos, the lord of time, has risen.  Now Percy and his friends need to stop him from attacking everybody before it'd too late.
My favorite character in this book was Juniper, Grover the satyr's girlfriend.  I like her because she is so in love with Grover and it's kind of funny.  For example, when Juniper saw Grover after she thought he was going to die, she tackled him with a hug.
I would recommend this book to kids 10+.
