Four Thruths and a Lie, Lauren Barnholdt, 265 pages, March 12, 2011

I just finsihed reading a book called Four Truths and a Lie by Lauren Barnholdt.  It has 265 pages in it and I finished it on March 12, 2011.  It's about a girl named Scarlett who goes to a boarding school after she is picked on at school because her dad is a criminal.  But then in English class the teacher has the students send anonymous letters to the boarding school for boys.  Soon, Scarlett's pen pal is playing a game with her.  He sends her some letters, four of the letters are true facts and one letter is a lie.  Scarlett has to figure what is true and what is not or else the secret about her dad will be revealed to the entire school.
I liked this book because it was funny in a nonchalant way.  For example, when Scarlett goes to her first basketball game, the book says that her friend Amber is cheering her on in the stands while wearing a green dress made for the school dance.  It's funny to picture somebody wearing a dress like that at a basketball game.
I would recommend this book for pre teen girls.
