The Lightning Thief, Rick Riordan, 375 pages, March 5, 2011

I just finished reading a book called the Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan.  I finished it on March 5, 2011 and it has 375 pages in it.  It's about a boy named Percy Jackson who is the son of the Sea God Posiedon.  Percy doesn't do well in school but he has help from his friend Grover.  But then Percy is sent to Cap Half-Blood (a camp for a god and a mortal's child) and he is offered a quest.  He has to retrieve Zeus's lightning bolt.  But obstacles keep getting in the way.  Percy now has to give his uncle back his prized pocession without getting eaten by monsters.
I liked this book because it was really educational.  For example, even though gods aren't real you learn a lot about them and their names and all the stories behind them.
I would recommend this book for kids 10+.
