A Thousand Never Evers, Shana Burg, 292 pages, January 17, 2011

I just finished reading A Thousand Never Evers by Shana Burg on January 17, 2011.  It has 292 pages in it.  It's about a girl named Addie Ann who is trying to fight for freedom of the African Americans.  But when Addie Ann's brother goes missing and the town goes into an uproar, Addie Ann doesn't know what to do- obey her mother or stand up for her rights.
I liked this book because it showed how anybody can stand up for themselves.  For example, Addie Ann (who is black) stood up for her uncle and saved his life, even though it could have cost hers.
I would recommend this book to whites and blacks who feel that equality is right and want to keep fighting for freedom.
