Horse Crazy Lily. Nancy Rue, 127 pages, April 1, 2011

I just finished reading 127 pages out of the book Horse Crazy Lily by Nancy Rue on April 1, 2011.  It's about a girl named Lily who goes horseback riding for a friend's birthday party and ends up really liking it.  She starts taking lessons, and is really enjoying it.  But then Tessa, Lily's newly adopted sister, comes along.  She is mean and violent.  Lily can't stand.  Now, Lily's parents want Tessa to start taking riding lessons with Lily too!  Lily calls Tessa the Devil Child.  But after a bad accident, Lily realizes what it means to be a real sister.
My favorite character in this book was Herbie, Lily's riding teacher.  I liked Herbie because he was nice.  For example, when Lily found out Tessa had to take lessons with her, Lily was upset.  But Herbie was nice and ended up really liking Tessa.
I would recommend this book to girls 9-12.
